Stainless Steel 348 Pipes are a niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy, similar to grade 347, with a composition that contains 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel. Niobium addition enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion and inhibits carbide precipitation during welding and prolonged heating. The pipes usually possess tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and yield strength of about 205 MPa.
